But even if they’re not making gazillions sales, Poets of The Fall has the fortunate chance of having total creative and production control. Therefore, a big portion of their publicity relies on the fans’ word-of-mouth and their video games contributions. Music that they are releasing through Insomniac, their personal Independent record label, as no major company is marketing and distributing them. In short, Poets of The Fall‘s debut album is an excellent success I encourage everyone to purchase and to talk about to their friends. Genuine feelings that real people can connect to, songs like Late Goodbye which really helped me through the depression I had between 20 as much as viewing Lars von Trier’s Antichrist which helped me exorcise a lot of my pains and angers I was experiencing. Music dealing about people going through heavy turmoil, pain, separation, and soul-searching. An excellent melancholic song that joins other tracks like 3AM, Lift, Don’t Mess With Me, Seek You Out, and Stay. A song that was even written by Same Lake himself which makes sense as it fits into Max’s storyline. Among them this first release, Signs of Life, that has their popular Late Goodbye single that the Max Payne characters sing or listen to. So it was through these two wonderful stories that I got the interest to purchase their records.
